Avengers: Endgame star Jeremy Renner is getting a standalone Hawkeye series

Avengers: Endgame release is getting closer by the day and for all the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) fans, this film promises to be a culmination of a decade-long journey with our beloved superheroes. In Avengers: Infinity War (2017) we saw what happens when Thanos’ fingers snap while in Avengers: Endgame, we will see the remaining superheroes do whatever it takes to defeat Thanos and avenge the fallen. Hawkeye (played by Jeremy Renner) was MIA from Infinity War but plays a key role in Endgame.

Besides Endgame, Jeremy’s Hawkeye is all set to star his own standalone limited series, according to Variety. It will be an adventure series based on Clint Barton and how he passes the torch to daughter, Kate Bishop. In the comics, Kate takes over the lineage of Hawkeye and is also a member of the group, Young Avengers. We got a small tease of Kate during the trailer of Avengers: Endgame, where Clint is seen showing his daughter how to aim a bow and arrow.

Jeremy has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Thor (2011) and had his major character arc in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) as we were introduced to his family.

Meanwhile, along with Jeremy, Tom Hiddleston too will be reviving his role as Loki in his own limited standalone series.

Avengers: Endgame is slated to hit the theatre screens on April 26, 2019.
