Avengers: Endgame falls short of USD 105 million to topple Avatar at worldwide box office; Read Details

It has been more than a month since Marvel’s biggest film Avengers: Endgame hit theatres. The MCU film managed to crush many box office records, domestic as well as international. And in a new record it has become the only film after Star Wars: The Force Awakens to surpass USD 800 million at the US box office. In the US, the Star Wars film had collected a staggering USD 936.6 million. Endgame came a close second after the 4 days long memorial day weekend and grossed USD 803.6 million.

At the worldwide box office, however, the Marvel film still falls short of USD 105.1 million. While James Cameron’s Avatar continues to rule, Avengers: Endgame’s worldwide box office collection so far has reached USD 2.683 billion with Avatar sitting at USD 2.788 billion.

While many believed that Avengers: Endgame could topple Avatar easily, it looks like the pace will be slow but the superhero flick will manage to do so eventually. In India, Endgame became the highest-grossing Hollywood film in India by crossing the Rs 250 crore mark at the domestic box office. Avengers: Endgame beat its own prequel Avengers: Infinity War by more than Rs 130 crore.

Whereas in China, the film became the biggest Hollywood film crossing USD 600 million mark becoming the third highest grossing film in China.
