The renowned assassin returned for the third time and he took down the Avengers through the opening weekend.
As per Variety, John Wick 3 opened to an impressive $57 million in the US. The movie released on 3,850 screens in the US. The movie was welcomed to the theatres with good reviews. As a result, John Wick 3 dethroned Avengers: Endgame to find the top spot over the weekend.
Avengers: Endgame posed a weekend collection of $29.4 million. The movie is into its fourth weekend at the box office. Adding this to the overall collection, Avengers: Endgame records a box office collections of $771 million at the domestic box office. The Marvel movie has officially surpassed the box office collection of Avatar. Avatar ended its run in the US with a box office collection of $761 million. Avengers: Endgame beat the James Cameron directorial to become the second-highest grossing movie in the US. Avengers: Endgame now stands behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Star Wars movie recorded a box office collection of $937 million.
