captain Marvel which was released a month ahead of Avengers: Endgame rightly served as the lead-up to the most awaited movie of the year. Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel was well received by both masses and critics and it also one of the most successful Disney movies. And now, during an interview with IGN, Victoria Alonso, Marvel Studios’ EVP of production revealed a lot, right from her favorite scene in Captain Marvel to how Carol almost didn’t have the new hairdo in Avengers: Endgame.
When asked about the Captain Marvel movie, she revealed that her favorite scene was a sequence from Captain Marvel’s past. She said, “The one sequence that resonates fully with me is all the girls getting up.” She added, “And I’ve heard it from both men and women, how important that moment was. Alonso also revealed that she was not really convinced with the shorter hair of Carol Danvers that we saw in the second act of Endgame. Alonso said, “That haircut was a conversation. And I was against it for a while because I was afraid that people had just met her and had just realized who she was and then we were changing her hair. And I thought, is it too soon? But clearly, it wasn’t.”
MCU fans are now excited about Captain Marvel and when asked when we will get to see her, to which Alonso gave a sly answer. She said, “I think we’re going to take it one step at a time. What is next? And what we do with her and her hair.”
