Asuran: Music director GV Prakash says the Dhanush starrer will have earthy and raw songs

The film Asuran starring Dhanush is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. This film will have music direction by GV Prakash. In an interview with Times of India, the music director opens up about the films music and what went into making the four songs in the film. The music director in a candid interview speaks about the songs of Asuran to be very earthy and deep rooted. GV Prakash also adds that the music of the film is very raw. The film Asuran is helmed by director Vetri Maaran. The film will have superstar Dhanush in the lead. Asuran’s music director, GV Prakash says that the film music has an international touch to it.

The music takes folk music flavours. The thought for the music for Asuran according to music director GV Prakash was to have a good mixture of folk music with international music elements in it. The songs of the film Asuran are said to have voices just like in the folk music but with a twist of instruments which will add foreign flavours to it. Asuran’s music director adds the music he made is like having an electric guitar playing alongside of folk music.
