Anubhav Sinha’s next titled Article 15 stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role. The film is based on the caste discrimination that is still a practice in many parts of the country. However, the film is being opposed by Parshuram Sena and now Karni Sena who allege that the film shows Brahmin in the bad light.
In an interview with Mid Day, Anubhav Sinha opened up about Karni Sena opposing his film. The Mulk director said that why would make an anti-Brahmin film. He added that people are smart enough to know that there were enough and more Brahmins who helped in making the film and the film doesn’t show them in the bad light.
Sinha further added that the CBFC has cleared the film with U/A certificate. He wants people to respect such institutions and wants CBFC to report such threats to the Home Ministry to curb such protests. He added that people can disagree with the film but such overt threats much stop and filmmakers can’t be bullied constantly.
Anubhav Sinha isn’t taking help from the police and said, “The threats are in public domain. Whenever the police thinks it should intervene, it will.”
