Anushka Sharma had a busy 2018. The actress was seen in four movies. She began the year on a horrific note with Pari. She then turned into an author for Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju. The diva then chose to shed the glam for Sui Dhaaga where she starred opposite Varun Dhawan. She ended the year with Shah Rukh and Katrina Kaif in Zero. However, ever since the December release, Anushka hasn’t signed any movie. The actress seems to have taken a quick break from movies.
She has been spotted spending more time with her husband aka the Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli. Together they were spotted in New Zealand and the United Kingdom this year. She has been by his side as the Indian cricket team toured NZ and made its way to the UK for the ICC World Cup 2019.
Speaking about her decision, Anushka told Filmfare that she consciously decided to take a break from her movies. “I wanted to take a couple of months off after Zero. After I got married, it was like a whirlwind. I was back on the sets shooting for Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and later Zero. I was just working back to back. Whatever time I’d get, I’d try to balance and meet Virat. But I was feeling too worked up,” she explained.
“I needed to take two months off. I told my team I don’t even want to read anything right now. It’s important as a creative person to take time off but you deny yourself that. Of course, there’s pressure. You’re constantly asked, Kaunsi film sign kar rahe ho?” she added.
We are hoping Anushka signs a movie soon and returns to the big screen with yet another powerful performance.
