Age is just a number for Akshay Kumar as there is absolutely no stopping him. After the box-office success of Jolly LLB 2, Kumar now has four more movies releasing this year which include PadMan, 2.0, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Naam Shabana.
He also has the Independence day 2018 booked for himself as he will be starring in Gold which is being directed by Reema Kagti.
Akshay will be playing the role of Balbir Singh who was the coach of the three-time Olympic-winning Indian hockey team.
According to a leading daily, Akshay has already started preparing for the role. He is learning how to ace the sport that is hockey.
A source revealed to the daily, “For the role of a hockey coach in the film, Akshay Kumar has been practising the game in the grounds of a school situated in the suburbs of Mumbai city. Actor Sunny Kaushal, who will be playing the second lead in this sports film, has also been going with him for training.”
The movie is set in 1948 and chronicles around the historic story of India’s first medal as an Independent nation. It will be produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Akshay’s next release is Naam Shabana in which he will be having an extended cameo. It is the sequel to Baby and is slated to release on March 31, 2017.
He also recently completed shooting for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha which is slated to release on June 2, 2017 and stars Bhumi Pednekar.
