When the news about Inshallah being shelved made the headlines, there was a sense of gloom among Alia and SLB fans. However, buzz is that while Inshallah might not be happening, Bhansali is considering Alia for a new project. Haven’t you noticed Alia making a couple of trips to the Bhansali office? She was spotted at his office earlier this week as well. Word on the street is that Bhansali could cast Alia in his upcoming film, which is tentatively titled Gangubai. in

Sources have told Mid-Day that Bhansali had committed to working with Alia and he is not going back on his word. So, he’s making sure he works with the Takht actress one way or the other. The insider revealed Bhansali is discussing a new story with Alia and it is quite interesting. The report suggests the story revolves around the brothel owner of Mumbai’s red-light area, Kamathipura. The discussion is still at an early stage.

It is reported that the brothel owner’s name is Gangubai. The film is said to be an adaptation of a chapter from Mafia Queens Of Mumbai, written by S Husain Zaidialt. It is said that Priyanka Chopra Jonas was approached with the idea before SLB presented it to Alia. However, PeeCee is occupied with the Mindy Kaling film internationally. Let’s hope Alia and SLB lock in on a project soon.

Meanwhile, Alia was also spotted outside Dharma Productions office this week. The actress will soon be seen in Takht, alongside Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal. Apart from that, Alia will also be seen in Brahmastra and Sadak 2.
